American Shorthair Cats |

American shorthairs can be trained almost like
a dog and if trained will answer when you call their name. They
are very affectionate cats but they do not, however, like being
picked up for long periods of time and prefer to have all four
paws firmly on the ground.
These are very beautiful cats with large, wide eyes and delightfully
soft fur. They will follow you from room to room and although
they are quite quiet they will communicate with you in chirrups
rather than meows. This is Americas own cat and its well balanced
proportions, symmetrical body and sweet expression and personality
means it will be in the top ten for many years to come.
